It stemmed from a simple conversation in a carpark with near business neighbours, Jacobsen, specialists in premium flooring.

“I hear you’re moving,” said Christchurch sales rep, Chris Beban. He was referring our recent move into the warehouse in Tuam Street.

Stu shared some of the vision for the new location. This included a plan to install a toilet and shower block in the warehouse for the convenience of those visiting the Free Store.

“I might be able to help you with that,” Chris mused. “Let me know how much flooring you’ll need.”

Stu checked to get the measurements and emailed them to Chris. It wasn’t long until the reply email came back.

“Just letting you know we’ve got a full roll of vinyl and weld rod for you, free of charge.”
