Rescue Food.
Feed people.
Build community.
Kairos Food Rescue rescues unsold and short-dated food from farmers, food retailers, restaurants and cafes, and redistributes it to local food banks, where it can be given to people who need it.
What Does Kairos Food Rescue do?
Did you know that
100,000 TONNES
of food is wasted every year
in New Zealand?
Kairos Food Rescue collects excess food, destined for the bin, from local food wholesalers and retailers, as well as cafes and restaurants. We then distribute it to local food banks so it can be given to people who need it. It's a win-win for both the environment and the community.
